Review by hotel critic
Nestled in the heart of Tarquinia, Agriturismo Podere Giulio is a serene haven for families and couples alike, offering a delightful blend of sea, sun, and countryside scents. We relished the outdoor swimming pool and the private beach access, a true luxury for unwinding under the Italian sun. The restaurant's local cuisine and wood-fired pizzas were a culinary delight, showcasing the farm's homegrown ingredients. Our stay at Podere Giulio was made even more memorable by the warm hospitality of the staff, particularly Manager Francesca, who went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. The property's 60-hectare farm, run by the Serafini family, adds an authentic touch to the experience. We found the 11 well-appointed studio apartments to be cozy and inviting, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring the Etruscan capital of Tarquinia. For those seeking recreation, the farm offers bike rentals and opportunities for golfing and windsurfing, ensuring there's never a dull moment. The peaceful countryside setting was ideal for leisurely walks along the tree-lined avenue, immersing ourselves in the tranquil ambiance. While our time at Podere Giulio was short, it left a lasting impression with its personalized service, picturesque views, and a true taste of Italian hospitality. Whether you're a history buff, nature enthusiast, or simply seeking a quiet retreat, this agriturismo is a hidden gem waiting to be discovered.
